Clinical Research Center

CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER, part of Desert Endocrinology, conducts clinical trials on the effectiveness of a range of new investigative medications for patients with endocrine conditions, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary gland disorders, osteoporosis and more. These trials provide valuable information and are key to ensuring new medications are safe and effective.

What is a Clinical Trial?

A clinical trial is an in-depth research involving participants that is performed to determine the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication. All investigational medications are tested in clinical trials and approved by the FDA before they can be sold on the market. Clinical trials may utilize a variety of techniques in documenting ease of use to specific targeted population or analyze possible side effects to compare and define effectiveness of the new investigational medication. Strict procedures and directions are followed to ensure fairness and safety of each trial participant. All procedures are regulated and reviewed by an independent review board and the government’s health authority (FDA) before any trial can proceed. Additionally, participation in clinical trials is completely voluntary, you may leave the study anytime without penalty and you will not lose any legal rights. Finally, you may be compensated for your time and travel.
